KCI, or Kansas City International Airport is an easy airport to travel to and through. What makes it more pleasing are the amenities surrounding the airport itself. When people travel they like to stay near the airport and have easy access to car rentals. At KCI, there is a specific shuttle that takes you to the car rental building where you will find big names like, Avis, Budget, Advantage, Hertz, Alamo, Dollar, National and more.

There you can rent from a basic compact car to a specialty vehicle. Some people when they travel are very particular about the vehicles they rent, trying to make their stay as comfortable as home. The car rental does not stay open as late as some of the larger airports and for the convenience of the customer there is a computer kiosk to help with late car rental reservations. Reservations that have already been made with the companies that allow that package. But please call and make sure that the company you are renting from has this option.

The right hotel can be just as important as a car rental and some hotels arrange the pick up and drop off of the rental car. That is an upgrade worth paying if in a time crunch. Some of the surrounding hotels are the Holiday Inn Express, The Four Points, The Hilton, Sleep Inns, The Embassy Suites and more. All of the hotels have shuttles, but please make sure to call ahead for the shuttle pick up and drop off. Most of the hotels are located 5 minutes or less from the airport.

Whats best is that KCI is known for its ease of quick check in. At this time KCI is not a hub for any airline and that makes for easy travel to, from, and with in the airport easy. There are restaurants and the famous, Boulevard beer available inside, and once inside the terminal there are places to buy quick snacks and water.
