Description: Working in conjunction with the Platte County Arts Council, Zona Rosa has expanded its 2006 art fair by opening the show to all qualifying artists in the greater Kansas City metro area. Platte County Arts at Zona Rosa – now in its third year – will feature artists and performers living and/or exhibiting in Platte County, as well as other well-recognized artists from a across the country. The festival will showcase an assortment of performance artists throughout the weekend, as well as a variety of visual art, including photography, paintings, sculpture and jewelry.

This week's lecture visits the graves of a wide spectrum of notable American's, who are commemorated in death by tombstones varying from surprisingly plain to opulently ostentatious.
